Dr. Melissa Martinez
Welcome to Coronado Village Elementary! Home of the Toros! We are proud to be a Dual Language School!
I am from the Lubbock area and grew up in Slaton, TX. I have a daughter who is in the 11th grade. She and I enjoy traveling, watching movies, listening to Taylor Swift and shopping. Personally, I enjoy listening to classic rock, reading, running, hiking, watching TV, spending time with my daughter and I love butterflies.
This school year will mark my 24th year in education and my 16th year with Judson ISD. Since graduating from Texas Tech University, I have served Judson for 9 years as an assistant principal in elementary and secondary and as a teacher for 7 years. My conversations and experiences over the years with district staff and families have brought me insights into the core beliefs of Judson. With my goal of continuing the tradition of excellence here at Coronado Village, I am committed to always exploring new ways to meet the needs of the students and to more effectively communicate with parents and community members.
My work has always guided me by doing what is best for children and supporting staff and families, so that together we can achieve the best outcomes. I look forward to learning more from this amazing community, and will be committed to the team’s professional development, and staying current on best practices for our amazing students.
Please know that my door is always open. I heartily welcome your conversations and positive input throughout the year. Let us always keep our students the primary focus or our work. I look forward to celebrating our collective success now and in the future.
